At West Horndon, we feel happy children learn best. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all students, and one of the key ways we do this is through the implementation of myHappymind, a comprehensive programme designed to support mental health and wellbeing. myHappymind focuses on teaching children essential life skills that promote positive mental health, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Through this programme, students learn how to understand and manage their emotions, build strong relationships, and develop a growth mindset, all of which are vital to their overall development and success.
We integrate myHappymind into our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) curriculum, ensuring that students receive regular lessons and activities that reinforce these valuable principles. By embedding this approach into our daily school life, we not only equip students with the tools to manage their mental health but also create a culture of openness and understanding. With a strong focus on wellbeing, myHappymind helps students build confidence, improve self-esteem, and foster a sense of belonging. This holistic approach supports our mission to develop well-rounded individuals who are emotionally strong and capable of thriving both academically and socially.
